Well said! It seems that since the cloud has taken over a lot of infrastructure and platform management, corporate IT might be delegating to the point where its OK to trust vendors and are not aware that changes to systems that triggered the 7/19 meltdown could happen. I don' t mean to say we turn away from using cloud computing, but there needs to be a fallback in place to keep businesses running when systems run into a fault. Maybe investing in redundancy would help - always have a working backup system in place to take over.
