Someone from Trump's business school needs to contact and explain to him how tarrifs work. They are intended to encourage buying local products instead of buying overseas. Since we don't make a lot of products in the US anymore it doesn't make sense. We have no locally made prouctds to buy. The producer always passes the tarrif cost to the consumer. One of the big issues in the country was inflation - could thst have been caused by tarrifs? And now Trump wants more tarrifs?
