Scamming people looking for employment is rotten. I recently experienced a application website with an ATS: 'Upload your resume and we'll fill out our lengthy form for you, or type all your information in to our lengthy form.' I uploaded my PDF and then witnessed a complete sharding of my resume into a large number of job description cards on a web page. It was kind of scary how the first entry in my resume worked and rest was blown to pieces. I jumped ship there. The lack of engineers on staff and the need to automate the search for people has left the poor old resume parser in need of care.
