Once I started using linux I never wanted to go back to windows. I use cloud apps like Google docs/sheets/slides instead of office. I'd pick slack over teams. I also use Mac with a zsh interface. I've taught students who use both windows and mac. I encourage the windows users to install git bash so we, as a class, can use a similar interface. I guess you pick something, get used to it and make it yours.
