I am embarrassed for the American companies' responses. While Marc Andreessen praised Deepseek as a 'gift to the world', Open AI wants to sue for distilling its content. But, didn't they distill the whole internet. I've contributed to Wikipedia and never needed compensation. And then, I saw Meta patting itself on the back for releasing their model as open source - but do you need a nuclear reactor to use it? I apologize if I've misunderstood the current news, but I think our companies could be better sports and - while they're ripping apart technology teams beacuse AI will save companies money - try making AI more efficient and less costly.
