WASM is also allowing us to write in typed languages, where typing was not an after thought requiring special tooling, and run in the browser. I've experienced the silly errors that can slow you down in JavaScript, but I like the "spirit" of all the browser languages: HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I'm with you.
